After 6 months of planning and research our four girls arrived from HandPecked poultry supplies last weekend. Willow, Amber, Betty Boo and roadrunner (just can’t catch her) settled into their new vintage home. As a special treat we scratched around for some worms for them which cause havoc and excitement in the run.
After only one evening to our astonishment they laid three stunning eggs the next morning, which we poached to go with our homemade English muffins.
The flock will be growing in 2014 with the addition of a rare breed Cockerel to keep the girls in pecking order and see off any uninvited guests.
